The opening cocktail party of the 51st Rose d'Or Festival at the Hotel Schweizerhof on 7 May 2012 will also mark the opening of an exhibition of his work. Tried and Tested
Your favourite Rose d’Or meeting places and events will be there for you to enjoy. Raise a glass at the opening of the new festival, meet your friends at the Rose d'Or bar and use your time in Lucerne to socialise, make new contacts and maintain old ones at the many events including the boat trip on the picturesque Lake Lucerne.
You can access the nominated competition entries before you even arrive in Lucerne. As of March you can watch from the comfort of your home through the new online competition platform. During the festival you can view all the submitted programmes in the unrivalled Video Kiosk.
Join us on the red carpet at the KKL Lucerne on 10 May 2012 for the Awards Night, the glittering highlight of the Rose d'Or Festival, and witness the presentation of the Golden Rose for the best programme and the Honorary Roses.

Hotel Schweizerhof
1 double room for single occupancy (including breakfast) in the Festival Hotel Schweizerhof. This 5-star lakeside hotel is one of the finest deluxe hotels in Lucerne. It is located in the center of the city and is the venue for many Festival events.

Excursion to Mount Titlis
Take the bus from Lucerne to Engelberg. Here begins the breathtaking ride up 3020 meters to the high alpine glaciers. Here you will find the eternal snow and spectacular views from the revolving ROTAIR cable car into the deepest crevasses and gigantic ice boulders. The unique panoramic view over 3020 meters above sea level across the Swiss Alps will inspire you. You can also visit the Ice Grotto, have a snowball fight, drive up close to the crevasses with the Ice Flyers, and use the Fun Lift for sledging. The tour is all-inclusive (weather permitting). There is a multi-lingual tour guide throughout the tour.
