Nominees Night 2012 in Kuala Lumpur

The Rose d'Or Festival is pleased to announce the five nominated entries in each of the 13 categories for the world's best entertainment television programmes for the first time in Asia. The nominees will be chosen from the hundreds of entries by a 50-member jury, made up of television industry leaders from all continents.

The Nominees Night on 28 February 2012 will be attended by representatives from leading companies in the Asian entertainment television industry. In addition to announcing the nominees in a formal ceremony, the experts will also share their thoughts on current trends and issues facing the industry. Among the prominent participants will be Marc Walder, CEO of Ringier Switzerland and Germany, and Ahmad Izham Omar, COO Television Networks, Media Prima and CEO Primeworks Studio, Media Prima, Malaysia.

Festival director Markus Helbling said: "With this and future events we seek to highlight the global nature of the Rose d'Or Festival and emphasise its international character. We are especially pleased to be present as a platform for exchange in the dynamic, multicultural environment of South East Asia."

The competition is open to submissions until December 31. Last year’s Festival saw 460 entries from 40 countries. The 2012 Golden Rose winners will be announced at the Rose d’Or Festival which takes place from 6 to 10 May in Lucerne.
