For the last 50 years, the Rose d’Or Festival has been one of the most significant events for the entertainment television industry, and an important networking platform for the onscreen entertainment community, promoting a free exchange of knowledge and ideas. Every year the Festival attracts producers and professionals from public and independent broadcasters from over 40 countries.

The Rose d’Or Awards, the core of the Festival, reward originality, quality and creativity in entertainment programming, and encourage excellence in television and associated digital media.

The best entertainment programmes from around the world are submitted to the competition, and an international jury of leading industry professionals is given the task of selecting a shortlist of nominees for final consideration before the winners are announced at the Rose d’Or Awards Ceremony.

Each year, the Rose d'Or offers its delegates the opportunity to screen all the programmes submitted to the Video Kiosk.

The Festival provides its delegates with a programme of attractive forums and workshops with contributions from entertainment television and new media professionals, who share their insight into the important issues and trends facing their industries.

Finally the Rose d’Or offers a line up of top entertainment events, many of which are also open to the public.
From the Opening Ceremony through to the grand finale of the Awards Ceremony, business and pleasure combine in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Regular festival highlights are the Boat Cruise around Lake Lucerne - a chance to relax with our colleagues surrounded by the stunning alpine scenery, and the always popular Comedy Night - an evening of laughter with world class comedians.
